SUSHMA JAIN
ART EXHIBITION (A TALE UNTOLD)
A Tale Untold
Wildlife Through the Eyes of Sushma Jain Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai
Step into a world where every brushstroke whispers instinct, emotion, and untamed grace. A Tale Untold is a visual odyssey through the intricate wildlife works of artist Sushma Jain, chronicling her journey across years of observation, empathy, and deep artistic reflection. From silent forest glades to the electric stillness of a predator’s gaze, her canvases evoke both wonder and respect for the wild.
This retrospective brings together her most iconic and personal wildlife paintings—each one a narrative frozen in texture and pigment. Sushma’s unique visual language blends realism with emotional surrealism, capturing not just form, but the spirit behind the fur, the feathers, and the forests. The exhibition invites you to look beyond the obvious, to read what remains unsaid—a tale untold.

What We Delivered
-
The catalogue design captured Sushma Jain's unique visual language - blending realism with emotional surrealism - translating the spirit of fur, feather, and forest into print as faithfully as on canvas.
-
Inside pages were structured to let each painting function as a narrative frozen in texture and pigment, giving the reader space to read what remains unsaid in each composition.
-
A dedicated exhibition invitation card extended the same visual language to the gallery's guest list, ensuring the first physical touchpoint matched the emotional tone of the show itself.
-
Exhibition poster and display materials carried the retrospective's identity into the physical gallery space, creating a cohesive experience from invitation to in-person viewing.
An art retrospective catalogue is successful when it makes a viewer want to stand in front of the canvas itself. We built A Tale Untold's materials to carry the same quiet intensity as Sushma Jain's paintings - from the invitation in someone's hand to the poster on the gallery wall.
