HIRANANDANI GROUP
COFFEE TABLE BOOK-DOCUMENTING ARCHITECTURAL LEGACY

Background: The Hiranandani Group is recognised for creating integrated townships that combine architectural detailing with functional urban planning. The brief was to conceptualise and design a premium coffee table book that would narrate the Group’s architectural philosophy and long-standing design legacy. The book was envisioned as a timeless brand document — capturing how classical European elegance, Mughal grandeur, and Rajasthani artistry converge with contemporary Indian urbanism. It was not to be a promotional catalogue, but a legacy publication.

Coffee Table Book

Objective:

  • Articulate Hiranandani’s architectural philosophy in a cohesive narrative

  • Showcase the convergence of heritage-inspired design and modern functionality

  • Highlight community planning alongside ornamental detailing

  • Create a premium, timeless brand document

  • Appeal to a diverse audience — homebuyers, residents, architects, investors, planners, policymakers, and design media

Strategic Approach:

  • The core idea was to position architecture as storytelling.

  • The narrative framework was structured to reflect three interconnected dimensions:

  • Heritage craftsmanship and detailing

  • Urban planning excellence and self-sustained community design

  • A forward-looking vision rooted in timeless principles

Rather than isolating architectural elements as decorative references, the book contextualised domes, chhatris, jaali screens, frescoed lobbies, and classical façades within the larger philosophy of creating cohesive urban ecosystems.

The storytelling balanced poetic expression with planning credibility, ensuring the book resonated equally with emotional and technical audiences.

Design & Implementation: A refined narrative architecture was developed to guide the reader through the evolution of design thought, scale, and execution. Visual storytelling played a central role. Large-format imagery highlighted architectural scale, symmetry, craftsmanship, and spatial experience. Close attention was given to sequencing, pacing, and layout hierarchy to create a rhythm between detail and grandeur. The design system maintained premium restraint — allowing ornamentation to speak through imagery while typography and layout provided clarity and structure. The book was produced as a high-quality, print-ready coffee table publication designed for long-term relevance.

Outcome:

  • Positioned Hiranandani as a visionary urban developer with a distinct architectural voice

  • Strengthened perception of the brand as a curator of legacy-driven communities

  • Created a tangible brand asset for stakeholders and partners

  • Elevated real estate communication into enduring design documentation

Conclusion: The Hiranandani coffee table book demonstrates how architecture, when thoughtfully documented, becomes more than built form — it becomes narrative. By combining heritage detailing, urban functionality, and strategic storytelling, the publication reflects the Group’s enduring philosophy: Modernity does not replace tradition — it builds upon it. And through this lens, Hiranandani does not simply construct buildings — it shapes legacies.
