The target is to determine what is appropriate. Design strategy is how we recommend approaching a project while a creative brief frames the goals and objectives. 

Scenario: 

Arabian Nights, renowned for it’s flavoured tobacco sales, faced promotional constraints due to the ever changing regulatory transitions. It had become a challenge to promote / advertise these products without breaching any guidelines. Further the non-branded market posed a threat on the retail pricing and the justification of premium was always a challenge.  

Objective:  

To convert their existing retail real estate into an Arabian themed lifestyle store. To extend their offering from tobacco which would result in higher ticket values sales and bringing in Non-Smoking clientele as well. Furthermore, create a membership program to add value to customer relations and keep customers engaged with new product offerings.  

 

Solution:   

Invested in re-branding, stores revamp, prodcut extention and packaging upgrades to add value to the existing products as well as the extended product line. Re launching itself as an Arabian themed lifestyle product store by increasing their product offering in the current smoking category as well as the non-smoking lifestyle category.

What We Delivered

  • Complete rebranding, store revamp, product extension, and packaging upgrades added value to existing products while creating an entirely new non-smoking lifestyle category — directly addressing the dual challenges of regulatory constraints and premium pricing pressure.

  • A membership program was designed to add value to customer relationships and keep customers engaged with new product offerings — building a loyalty mechanism that transcended any single product category.

  • Strategic placement at high-footfall zones (mall kiosks, airport, music events, trade shows) was designed into the campaign — including tester perfumes and deodorants at clubs and events, and sponsoring Arabic-themed smoking zones at music shows.

  • The digital system (website, social media, partner program) extended the brand into digital discovery and partner recruitment, creating a scalable business model that grew beyond the original retail footprint.
